Bob's report on the Recon® S10 Multi-Function Torch

The torch is extremely well built and rugged and a compact design that allows the kit to be carried in bags, coats and trousers; on belts and various other applications such as body armour and vests.

The torch comes well presented in a sturdy carry case with an internal rubberised transit/shipping section, where the batteries, lanyard and carry pouch is packed. It is extremely well constructed with a strong metal case, rubber O-ring to seal the battery cartridge and protect it from dust and water and the battery contacts are gold, not cheap metal, thus ensuring long life for the torch and good contact between the battery cartridge and the casing.

The control buttons are sturdy and cannot be easily damaged. The buttons are also well placed and will not accidentally switch on if the equipment is moved about in a pocket or its pouch.

The torch works well in the rain with no degradation of performance noted.

This unit is an extremely well presented and constructed product aimed at military, security and police personnel who operate in various climatic and environmental conditions. The torch is also extremely useful for campers, boaters and just to keep in the glove box of a vehicle for emergence use.
