KA-BAR INFANTRY FIGHTING/UTILITY KNIFE (FOLIAGE GREEN)

Features:

18 cm / 7 inch partially-serrated, clip-point blade made from 1095 cro-van Carbon steel with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58.
Non-reflective, black, epoxy power coated and blood groove on blade.
Includes a hard plastic sheath available in Foliage Green only.
Sheath secures the blade in 2 ways: a friction guard lock holds the blade inside the sheath and a Nylon retaining strap snaps around the handle for extra security.
Water-resistant sheath to prevent the blade cutting through if the sheath is submerged in salt water.
The sheath includes several grommets and slots for tie-downs, and facilitates a variety of carrying options.

I have owned the 'original' Ka-Bar for some years now and this new version is better suited for wet environments, especially salt water, due to the materials used as mentioned. Its additional locking mechanism is an added safegaurd against the knife being lost and like the original it retains its edge very well. No problems with stitching failing due to rot, or leather shrinkage. Fantastic knife.
