Although not military myself, I have a keen interest in military equipment and artifact.
I have recently purchased a “P....” main pack,” T...” and “Kitbag” accessory “Molle” attachment bags.
The quality of the “Kitbag” products is very high, a few points between the brands I’ll list below.
1. For military personnel: The “NIR” (Anti-Infra Red Technology) would have to be a huge advantage in these products, none of the other 2 brands seem to have that, and for Kitbag it seems to be standard in most, if not all of their fabric products.
2. Price: Kitbag products are priced similar to the “T...” product, but are up there with “P....” quality and also include “NIR” Technology.
3. The zippers run effortlessly without snags, all the products from kitbag I have purchased so far also include anti rattle zippers as standard, properly one of my few criticism of “P....” (besides price) the zippers, they do snag on occasion.
4. The “Mole” straps are very flexible and of high strength and quality, “T...” straps are also flexible but the material used is not as high quality, “P....” is of high quality but very stiff. Reconfiguration of this type of equipment is sooooo much easier with a high quality flexible strap.
5. Stitching: T... stitching is “so so” and the only use I have for this equipment is as a work bag. Some of the stitching on the TAC gear is already showing signs of “stretching”, and although none of this product has failed yet, I would assume in combat situations these products would have a short life once exposed to water, dirt and extreme combat situations. Certainly “P.....” stitching and Kitbag stitching are comparable to each other and are both of a very high standard.
6. Although “P....” and “Kitbag” fabric is quite different both are of a very high quality, the “T....” fabric is adequate and quite good, but certainly not to the quality of the other 2 brands.
In closing if you are after product equivalent to or similar to “P....” but priced similar to “T...” product “Kitbag” is the product for you.
