  1. good size and quality

Posted by shaun on 27th Aug 2013

bag is very roomy and well made , if i had to pick a fault i would say the zipper needs to go further down the bag and a second entry point at the foot end of the bag would be handy also , but overall a great bag

  2. Good Bivvy

Posted by CDT Angus- 3WG AAFC on 2nd Mar 2013

I recently bought this Bivvy swag for cadets along with a sleep mat, the Bivvi poles and a Recon Sleeping Bag. It is quite wide and long, and gives you plenty of room for you and some gear. It is very warm, and the mozzie net is a bonus. Only problem is it can be a bit awkward to get sleeping bags and sleep mats in and out of, and can feel claustrophobic when fully zipped up. I would definitely buy again.

  3. Essential Piece of Gear

Posted by AAFC CCPL on 18th Jan 2013

I recently bought this for my AAFC Annual Bivouac, and I can say this is definitely the best bivvy I have owned to-date. It is lightweight and fits well in the bottom of the Bergen Field Pack. I bought this along with the NATO Issue sleep mat and Bivvy poles, which add extra comfort. Great for Cadets, Campers and Hikers.

  4. Well thought out bivvy

Posted by Sven on 2nd Sep 2011

The first thing I noticed was when you unzip it & throw the head flap over is the length of this section. Room to sit on & kick your boots off & easy to get into. Its long & wide. Room for my gear in it with me. A big feature are the tie up loops at head & foot end or you can use hoop set. A really good bivvy with all the features you could want & it's light, compact & affordable. I'm stoked with this bivvy.

  5. Very Nice

Posted by Megan on 17th Jun 2011

Great for when you have been out field for a month and just want to pass out. Was at Mount Hotham, so temperature gets quite low, I was absolutely happy to be in my recon sleeping bag and lay in the bivvi. Was very comfotable, would have preffered to have a poof mat underneath, but stayed completely dry in heavy rain and was really happy with this product.

  6. Very Nice Piece of Camping Gear

Posted by Joshua van der meulen on 3rd Nov 2010

    Hi, my name is Joshua.

I recently bought this product after looking at a few more pictures that I requested and am extremely satisfied with the quality and versatility.

This single man 'bivvi bag' is essential for those who are interested in camping regularly and/or hiking and camping for days and need a light weight, strong, absolutely waterproof shelter. It would, I imagine, be extremely good for hunting expeditions as well. It has enough room for your gear to fit comfortably inside as it is nice and long and wide.

It could be combined with the self inflating mattress and pillow to make it more comfortable for longer trips. I myself am looking into this idea. Although I haven't got these two products I did however buy the 'bivvi poles' which enhances the comfort of the whole setup.

All in all I believe that this is defiantly worth the money and will serve you well for many long years of outdoor activities.

    Hope you enjoy.

  7. Essential kit

Posted by BigSteve on 25th Oct 2010

Combined with a RECON-4, this will fit in the bottom of the AUS issued pack.
Needs to be "worn-in", rustles a fair bit when getting in and out. Fly mesh is a life-saver.

Zips can get snaggled on the material pretty easily, simple to rectify but can be a bit of a headache.

Sturdy and good value, would buy one again.
