The manufacturer identifies −10°C as the R4’s extreme rating. This is not a comfort rating, and no combined temperature rating is claimed for this kit. Select equipment for your expected conditions and use an appropriate insulated sleeping mat.

No. Sleeping mats, bivvy hoops and ground pegs are not included.

Yes. The R4 sleeping bag and XL MultiCam bivvy remain available separately.

Does the bivvy replace sleeping bag insulation?
No. It provides a protective outer cover. Maintain ventilation during use and air both items afterwards.

Are the storage sacks included?
Yes. The sleeping bag includes its compression sack, and the bivvy includes its matching stuff sack.
