RECON GS2™ Waterproof Breathable Calf-Length Socks provide an additional waterproof barrier when worn inside hiking boots, tactical footwear, trail shoes or everyday outdoor footwear.

Their three-layer construction incorporates a British-made Porelle® waterproof and breathable membrane. The membrane helps block external water while allowing moisture vapour from inside the sock to escape.

A durable nylon-blend exterior provides resistance to everyday wear, while the soft cotton-blend inner layer sits comfortably against the foot. The calf-length design provides practical coverage for hiking, camping, fishing and other activities in wet conditions.

Choosing Your Size

These waterproof socks have a three-layer construction and may feel firmer and less stretchy than ordinary socks. If your footwear size falls between two sock sizes, choose the larger size.

Do not automatically choose one full size larger unless you are between sizes or prefer a roomier fit.

Select your sock size using your normal Australian footwear size.

IMPORTANT SIZING INFORMATION

The waterproof laminated construction has less stretch than an ordinary sock.

Until a verified factory foot-length chart is available, we recommend selecting one size larger than your usual sock size, particularly if you are between sizes or have wider feet.

This is a temporary fitting guide only. Your measured foot length and normal footwear size should be used once a verified factory chart is available.

IMPORTANT WATERPROOFING INFORMATION

The waterproof membrane protects the covered area of the foot and lower leg. Water can still enter through the open cuff if the water level rises above the top of the sock.

Ensure the sock remains below waterproof trousers or other protective clothing where appropriate.

Breathability allows moisture vapour to escape, but it does not guarantee that feet will remain completely free from perspiration during strenuous activity or warm conditions.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Wash gently in cool water using mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.

Turn the socks inside out and allow them to air dry naturally. Avoid ironing, dry cleaning, high-temperature tumble drying or placing them directly on a heater, as excessive heat may damage the waterproof membrane.

Can these socks replace waterproof boots?

They provide waterproof protection inside many types of footwear and may be useful when waterproof boots are unnecessary or unavailable. However, footwear should still be appropriate for the terrain, activity and required level of support.

Can water enter through the top?

Yes. Water can enter through the cuff if it rises above the top of the sock. The waterproof protection applies to the material-covered area.

Will they prevent all perspiration?

No. The membrane is breathable and allows moisture vapour to escape, but perspiration can still occur during strenuous activity or warm weather.

Which size should I order?

Until a verified measurement chart is available, select one size larger than your usual sock size if you are between sizes or require additional room.

Are they suitable for men and women?

Yes. These socks have a unisex design.
