Built around the proven ALICE-style load-carrying system, the RECON GS2™ GEN II combines traditional field-pack practicality with upgraded materials, improved shoulder straps and a supportive external frame.
The complete system includes the 65-litre pack, mixed aluminium and steel external frame, adjustable shoulder harness, sternum strap and padded kidney-style waist support. Its large main compartment and five external pouches provide extensive organised storage for camping, field, travel and preparedness equipment.

This is supplied as a complete carrying system—not simply the pack bag.
The mixed aluminium and steel external frame provides structure and load support. Upgraded adjustable shoulder straps, a sternum strap and padded kidney-style waist support help stabilise the pack during extended wear.
The quick-release harness allows the pack to be removed rapidly when required.
The large drawcord main compartment includes an internal radio or equipment pocket and two drainage eyelets.
Three large front pouches and two extra-large side pouches provide extensive external organisation. Each exterior pouch includes drainage eyelets to help prevent water collecting inside.
Additional webbing across the top and sides allows compatible equipment and pouches to be attached.
Heavy-duty 2.5mm lower webbing provides an attachment point for additional equipment such as a sleeping bag, bedroll or camping mat.
The double-layer protective top cover provides additional storage and can also be used as a utility pouch.

The fabric has an 1800mm water-resistance rating, but the complete pack should not be treated as fully waterproof. Sensitive equipment should be stored in suitable waterproof bags during prolonged or heavy rain.

Is the external frame included?
Yes. The pack is supplied with its external frame, shoulder harness, sternum strap and padded kidney-style waist support.
What does ALICE mean?
ALICE stands for All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment. This product uses the traditional external-frame ALICE pack concept with updated materials and carrying components.
Can a sleeping bag or bedroll be attached?
Yes. Expandable lower webbing provides an attachment point for compatible sleeping bags, bedrolls and camping mats.
Does the harness have a quick-release system?
Yes. The upgraded shoulder harness incorporates a quick-release system for rapid pack removal.
Is the pack completely waterproof?
No. The fabric has an 1800mm water-resistance rating, but the complete pack is not described as fully waterproof.
Is a warranty included?
Yes. This product is covered by a one-year Australian warranty.
