This 123 system can be used 3 ways

* Intermediate sleeping bag stand alone Temperature scale: comfortable temperature recommended-15-0 degrees

* Patrol sleeping bag. The comfortable temperature is recommended to be 5-15 degrees; extremely low temperature -1 degree

* Intermediate sleeping bag + Patrol sleeping bag + Bivvy ~ will meet a survival environment from 30 degrees above zero to 40 degrees below zero!

Intermediate sleeping bag (Black)

Intermediate mummy shape sleeping bag Filling: Polarguard HV High-grade filling material, Polarguard (R) HV insulation is durable, compressible, non-allergenic and warm even when wet. Patrol Sleeping bag ( Olive )

Patrol/Recon sleeping bag using Nylon Ripstop and Filling: Polarguard HV High-grade filling material, Polarguard (R) HV insulation is durable, compressible, non-allergenic and warm even when wet.

Double-sided heavy-duty YKK zipper is strong and durable. Heat-treated seams ensure water and moisture resistance. Head Velcro for easy opening and closing of the top cover. The comfortable temperature is recommended to be 5-15 degrees; extremely low temperature -1 degree. Size: from 233x94cm (width) to 233x61cm (narrow) mummy style

Bivvi Multi-Cam

Bivy Cover Fabric 3 layer laminated Waterproof and breathable fabric, plus wind-resistant . All seams are fully seam pressed. The outer layer is made of nylon water-repellent, scratch-resistant and tear-resistant material. Size: 220x90x71cm. colour Multicam Camouflage Color.

So you can use this system in what ever configuration you need depending on the environment you find your self in. All the pieces fit together as a modular 123 sleeping bag system and all slide together into the one stuff sack

A Note on sleeping bags.

Purchasing the correct Recon Sleeping Bag for your needs is important, we are pleased to offer these simple facts to help you decide which one is best for you, how to maximise it’s performance and what to realistically expect from your choice.

To help maintain the temperature rating and get the best out of your Recon Sleeping Bag you must take into account the following.

The Thermal Temperature Rating provided on all sleeping bags is just a guide - what you do, wear and eat will affect your sleeping experience. So

Always Use a camp mat or equivalent on the ground to increase protection
and the temperature (thermal resistance) of your sleeping bag.
Always use a top cover or a shelter around your sleeping bag to increase protection and the temperature (thermal resistance).
Always place your bag / camping ground area out of wind, go behind a rock or tree or in a crevice to get out of the wind ( this helps in reducing your exposure to the wind chill factor )
If you expect to be out in the open with no shelter whatsoever then purchase a sleeping bag cover (bivvi ) this will add water/rain resistance plus an additional layer of protection therefore increasing the thermal resistance even more.
If you know you are a hot or cold sleeper then go up or down a level in temperature to allow for this
It Is known that certain types of food affect your sleeping comfort and can make you colder or hotter therefore be aware of what you are eating and how it may affect you
Alcohol will decrease your body temperature therefore reducing the sleeping bags ability to keep you warm.
Always wear layers of clothing inside a sleeping bag, remove shoes if possible and wear thick socks and a beanie on your head, heat transfers out of your extremities so keep them covered!!
The retailer and manufacturer request that you take these facts into account so that you have the best sleeping experience possible. Sleeping bags are unable to be returned unless there is a fault in the workmanship so please choose carefully.

  Important Cleaning of a Bivvi Bag Instructions / warranty void if misused
  
  To clean a 3-layer bivvi bag, first, gently spot clean with warm water and a sponge to remove mud and debris, avoiding harsh scrubbing or detergents. For a deeper clean, hand wash it in a tub with a specialized technical fabric cleaner, rinse thoroughly until all soap is gone, and then lay it flat to air dry, ensuring all zippers are closed and clean. Do not use regular detergents, fabric softeners, or bleach, as they can damage the fabric's protective coating.

  Initial cleaning: Gently hose down the bivvi to remove loose dirt or use a sponge with warm water to scrub away mud without scrubbing harshly.
  - Close and clean zippers: Ensure all zippers are zipped up and free of dirt, as this can damage them over time.
  - Hand wash: If a deeper clean is needed, use a specialized technical cleaner. Fill a bathtub with lukewarm water and add the cleaner according to the product's instructions.
  - Submerge and agitate: Submerge the bivvi and gently massage the cleaner into the fabric. Let it soak for about 15-20 minutes.
  - Rinse thoroughly: Drain the soapy water and rinse the bivvi with clean water until no soap residue remains. You may need to repeat this process several times.
  - Remove excess water: Gently press the water out of the bag; do not wring or twist it, as this can damage the fabric and seams.
  - Dry: Lay the bivvi flat to air dry. Do not pick it up when it is wet, as the weight of the water can tear the stitching.
  What to avoid
  
  Regular detergents: Do not use standard detergents, as they can strip the waterproof coating.
  - Fabric softeners and bleach: These can also damage the technical fabric.
  - Wringing and twisting: Avoid wringing or twisting the bag when wet to prevent tearing the seams or insulation.
  - Machine drying: Do not put the bivvi in a dryer. Air drying is the safest method.
