One blanket. Three practical uses.

The RECON GS2™ WOOBIE is a versatile insulated layer for your camping and outdoor kit. Use it as a blanket around camp, as a liner beneath a suitable poncho, or as an extra layer inside a sleeping bag or bivvy bag.

A ripstop nylon shell surrounds 100% polyester insulation, with a durable water-resistant finish on the outer fabric. The quilted construction and included carry bag make it a practical addition to your gear for camping, touring and time in the field.

  • Blanket: wrap up around camp or add an insulating layer to your bedding.
  • Poncho liner: use beneath a suitable poncho for an additional layer of insulation.

Frequently asked questions

What are the three uses?
Use it as a blanket, a liner beneath a suitable poncho, or a liner inside a sleeping bag or bivvy bag.

How large is it?
The blanket measures 208 × 150 cm when laid flat.

What is it made from?
A ripstop nylon shell with 100% polyester insulation and a DWR durable water-resistant outer finish.

How DWR Works
Beading water: The coating lowers the surface tension of the fabric, forcing moisture to form rounded beads that roll right off instead of soaking in.
Protecting breathability: By stopping the outer fabric from absorbing water (known as "wetting out"), the coating ensures sweat vapor can still escape from the inside.
First line of defense: It works and is also used alongside internal waterproof membranes to keep you dry and comfortable

Is it waterproof?
It has a water-resistant finish. Use separate waterproof shelter or a suitable bivvy and a ground sheet when protection from rain is needed.See above DWR description.

Does it come with a carry bag?
Yes. One carry bag is included.

Does it include a poncho or sleeping bag?
No. This listing is for the blanket and its carry bag. Ponchos, sleeping bags and bivvy bags are separate items.

Will it fit my poncho or sleeping bag?
Compare the blanket’s 208 × 150 cm dimensions with your gear. Fit and attachment compatibility depend on your particular poncho or sleep system.

How should I care for it?
Follow the care label supplied with your blanket and allow it to dry fully before packing it away.
