Temperature Rating Information

The manufacturer provides a temperature guide of approximately −5°C to +10°C. Sleeping-bag temperature ratings should always be treated as guides rather than guarantees.

Actual warmth will depend on the user, weather, wind exposure, clothing, shelter and the insulation provided underneath the sleeping bag. A suitable sleeping mat is an essential part of any cold-weather sleep system.

When conditions are expected to approach the lower end of the temperature range, we recommend choosing conservatively and allowing an additional safety margin.

Water Resistance

The outer fabric is water repellent and can provide temporary protection from light moisture or light rain. This sleeping bag is not waterproof and should always be used inside a suitable tent, shelter or waterproof bivvy bag in wet conditions.

About White Duck Down

Down is the soft undercoating found beneath a duck’s outer feathers. Its fine clusters trap pockets of warm air, providing excellent insulation while remaining lightweight, breathable and highly compressible.

The 90% down filling used in this sleeping bag provides an effective balance of warmth, packed size and weight for field and outdoor use.

Care Instructions

• Check the sewn-in care label before washing.
• Spot-clean minor marks using a damp cloth.
• Open all zips and fastening tabs before washing.
• Use a large-capacity front-loading washing machine where possible.
• Wash on a gentle cycle using lukewarm water.
• Use only a specialist down-washing detergent.
• Do not use bleach, fabric softener or harsh cleaning products.
• Rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent.
• Dry completely on a low-heat setting with clean dryer balls or tennis balls to help restore the down’s loft.
• Never use high heat.
• Store the sleeping bag dry and loosely packed when it is not being transported.

Is this sleeping bag waterproof?

No. The outer shell is water repellent and suitable for brief exposure to light moisture. A waterproof shelter or bivvy bag is required in wet conditions.

Is −5°C a guaranteed comfort temperature?

No. Temperature ratings are guides because warmth is affected by the individual user, weather, clothing, shelter and sleeping mat. Choose conservatively when preparing for cold conditions.

Does the sleeping bag include a compression sack?

Yes. A compression stuff sack is included to reduce its packed size during transportation.

Can I use an ordinary laundry detergent?

We recommend using a specialist down-washing detergent. Ordinary detergents, bleach and fabric softeners may damage the down or reduce its insulating performance.
