The RECON GS2™ G3 Ripstop Tactical Boonie Hat combines a wide brim with mesh ventilation and practical storage details for time outdoors. Its polyester–cotton ripstop fabric suits a classic boonie design for hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, airsoft and travel, as well as general military or police use where permitted by uniform requirements.
Wire inside the front brim seam lets you shape the front of the hat. An adjustable chin strap with a toggle helps keep it in place and can be tucked inside when not in use.
Mesh panels at the top and rear allow ventilation, while an internal pocket provides a place for a folded map or small notes. Double rows of webbing loops around the crown offer attachment points for suitable accessories or foliage. An approximately 40 × 40 mm hook-and-loop panel sits on top for compatible patches.

Measure around the head at the normal hat position, just above the eyebrows and ears, keeping the tape level and snug. This is the supplied fit range; no universal-fit or headband-adjustment claim is made. The chin strap toggle adjusts the strap, not the stated head circumference.

Will it fit any head size?
The supplied fit range is approximately 57–60 cm head circumference. Measure around your head where the hat will sit, just above the eyebrows and ears. It is not a universal fit despite the factory's “one size fits all” wording.
Can I shape the brim?
Yes. Wire inside the front brim seam allows the front section to be shaped. This does not mean the entire brim contains wire.
Does it have ventilation?
Yes. Mesh panels at the top and rear provide ventilation.
What is the inside pocket for?
It can hold a folded map or small notes. Pocket dimensions have not been supplied; do not assume a particular notebook will fit.
Are patches and other accessories included?
