A practical inspection companion

Use the TACMATE to highlight compatible invisible inks, fluorescent markings and some pet stains. It can also help reveal UV-reactive security features on compatible banknotes and documents.

Results depend on the material and surrounding light. A darker environment generally makes fluorescence easier to see.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it reveal every stain?
No. Only certain substances fluoresce under UV light. A glowing mark does not identify the substance, and the absence of fluorescence does not prove a surface is clean.

Can it confirm whether a banknote is genuine?
No. UV inspection is only one check and should be used alongside other security features.

Does it detect DNA or disinfect surfaces?
No. This is a UV inspection torch, not a DNA-identification or sterilisation device.

Is a battery included?
No. One AA battery is required. Use only the battery type and voltage specified in the supplied instructions.
